Kylie Jenner Inspired OOTD!

Hello friends! Today I have an Outfit of the day post for you!! :) I wore this outfit because it was finally warm enough to wear shorts! I  love to pull inspiration from fashion blogs, youtube channels, and pictures of people I admire. I decided to create an outfit based on Kylie Jenner's because recently I have been stalking her Tumblr due to so many of our viewers loving her looks. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and create a video/post showing you how to essentially get the look for less. You guys should know by now I have a strong OBSESSION when it comes to thrifting! I used all items that I already had in my closet from some of my favorite stores
and of course the thrift store!

These are some of the outfits I drew inspiration from, had to add Chloe Kardashian in because she is my favorite of the bunch and she is just so sweet. This outfit is very laid back and casual get it incorporates some on trend items and timeless pieces.

Black T-shirt- Thrift store $2
Checkered Flannel- Thrift store $2
Distressed Shorts- Rue 21 $5
Cut Out Boots- Rue 21 $7.99
Necklaces (three)- Kmart 12.99 & $9.99 Adam Levine Clothing Line!
Chain Ring- H&M $3
Anchor Ring- H&M $6
Bow Ring- Charming Charlie $3
Infinity Ring- Promise ring from my <3

I am going to be doing more of these "style steals" so if you have any suggestions you can use our links to the right to comment your celeb picks or leave a comment down below! To see close ups to all of the items and see the reveal of our giveaway winner  Check out BrynnLynnBeauty!

14 DIY Valentine's Day Gifts, Treats, and Decorations! (How To Video Included)

Happy Friday ladies and gents! It is the weekend and thank God for that. Today we are coming to you with a really fun post. Since Valentine's Day is coming up we wanted to give you a gift guide for things you can give that special someone in your life. What better gifts than DIY gifts you made with love? Nothing! So today we will be sharing 14 DIY Valentine's Day Gift Ideas! We actually made a How To video on all of these gifts- 14 DIY Valentine's Day Gift Ideas! We definitely recommend watching it for tips and tricks on how to make these. We spent a lot of time on it, hope you enjoy!

Now the first thing we wanted to accomplish was to make projects that were adorable. The next two things we wanted were to make them affordable and easy to make. I think we accomplished that with our How To video. Everything we bought was from either Target, Meijer, Dollar Tree, Barnes and Noble or Walmart. We made sure not to spend an outrageous amount of money but enough to make sure we could make some really awesome gifts. Staring at this pile of stuff made me so excited to get started! I absolutely love crafts and DIY projects. Here is the list of the items we made!<3
Chalkboard Heart Tin- This is so adorable and takes less than 45 minutes to make and that is including the drying time! The tin was $1, the paint was around three dollars, we used some of our niece's chalk, and all the other items to make this we already owned. (Scissors, paper, and a sharpie.) We threw in some "date night" treats like candy, DIY Chocolate Covered Pretzels and my FAVORITE movie right now, About Time.

Grab your apron! We are making some Heart-shaped Crispies! I love rice crispy treats but add fun shapes and I'm all about them. These are so easy to make. You just make rice crispies as you normally would but you can add some strawberry marshmallows for taste and color. Then when they have cooled you can use cookie cutters to make the heart shape. We got 3 for $5.99 at Target. Then we used some yummy frosting to decorate them for Valentine's Day! <3 The recipe and cooking directions were covered in the video!

Since you already have your apron on, lets make some chocolate covered pretzels! These are so cute and they turned out even better than expected. For this you just heat a bag of chocolate chips up in the microwave for two minutes and then take it out, making sure to stir out any bumps or lumps. Then you dip a pretzel twist into the chocolate and then pour some sprinkles over the pretzel and use a bowl to catch the excess. We also made drizzl pretzels in our video!

Next we made some Cute-Tea bags. Get it? Punny Right? Anyways, these are adorable if you are having a cozy night in or maybe a Valentine's Day themed party. This tag says "you are my cup of tea" but if you watch on YouTube you will see another adorable heart design as well. If you were wondering, this is my favorite tea! Blueberry Slim Life- Green Tea by Yogi. So good! <3

This next treat is super is easy to make and is called "Kisses from the Mrs." Take some Hershey's Kisses (the almond kind are the best) and fill up a goody bag with them. Then make a label using a mouth/lips stickers and some card stock. On the label you created write "Kisses from the Mrs." or "Your name, xoxo" then tie it around the bag with some string.  So easy right? This is adorable and a way to put a personal touch on some candy.

This is my favorite DIY! Just because I think these are so cute! Taking some Sweet-tart heart gummies you will begin to place a pretzel stick in between them. This will create an arrow. Now you could go about the packaging a couple different ways. These could be "Cupid's Arrows" but I didn't really like the idea of that. So I made these my "Follow Your Arrow" Arrows. Kasey Musgraves sings one of my favorite songs with that title so I wanted to incoorperate it into the theme of this DIY! I made some really cute labels in the video that make the arrows so great to hand out or serve them on a tray at a party <3

This is the "Let's Mix" mix CD. I just took my favorite album of the moment- The Hurry and the Harm by City and Colour and added a cute label to it that says "Let's Mix." This is great to give to your Valentine or even a friend. It is really easy and afforable. This CD has a lot of romantic songs but you could also make a CD of all love songs or songs that remind you of the person you are giving it to!

Next is the "You're Hot- Chocolate!" You will need a tumblr or drink container. I bought this one for a dollar at the Dollar Tree. Then you will need some Hot Chocolate to be placed in a zip- lock bag, some marshmallows, a paper/foam heart, and some markers. The complete project looks so cute and creative. To see the end result you must watch the video! ;)

Message in a mailbox is probably the most affordable and the easiest DIY. All you need is a little  mailbox (we got ours for $1 at Target,)
a treat bag, some conversation hearts, and stickers. You can decorate the mailbox anyway you want with stickers and then your conversation hearts serve as your "message." Who doesn't want a "txt me" heart on Vday right?! #Sarcasm.... The hashtag was Sarcasm too.

The "Why I Love You" Journal is sort of a half way DIY. You do have to fill in the entire journal and add photos and things but the actual journal can be purchased for under $10 on Barnes and Noble.com- here is the link. If you wanted to make this yourself I am sure you could. It is a great way to share memories with one another and show someone how much they mean to you!

These next gift ideas can also be room decorations. The Vase and the hearts didn't come together but I put them together to make a cute little decoration. The hedgehogs were an early gift from my boyfriend and I actually named them Ralph and Kia! Thanks for all of your suggestions on Instagram! Then you can just set your decorations on a cute piece of felt. Mine is pink and has hearts all over it. The hedgehogs are from Target and the vase/heart sticks are from the Dollar Tree!

This next one is incoorperating a lot of the DIYs into one to create the perfect cozy night in! If I haven't stressed to you enough, About Time is my FAVORITE movie right now. It has such a good meaning and really makes you think about the meaning of life and how you should spend your time. Now, for those of you thinking "Why is Rachel McAdams in another time traveling movie?" Stop it right now. That is what I thought before I saw it in theaters and I completely changed my mind once I watched it. She is the perfect person for the role and to me the two movies are on entirely different levels. About Time > Time Travelers Wife. This movie seriously brought me to tears. It made me laugh and cry so in my book it is a pretty good one! Check it out!!! <3

Okay, so I love sharpie mugs because I think they are just so cute and handmade items are always the best. I wanted to put a cool spin on these mugs though since they are popping up everywhere. Couple's mugs are the way to go. I found this design on Google and they were selling these mugs for over $20 each. No way! I knew I could make them myself for under $20. Turns out, they only cost me $2 total. The mugs were a $1 each and I used sharpies I had.

I also did a design on the back of the mug. To ensure that the markers on your mug last through washes you can put the mugs in the oven for 30 minutes on 350. Make sure you put them in before the oven heats up and leave them in there until it cools down to avoid any cracking. These mugs are super adorable and I love them! We also made some red ones with a different design that we give instructions to in our video!

We also did a Valentine's Day Makeup Look, Hair Styles, and Outfit Ideas video which will be up soon! So if you aren't already subscribed to our YouTube channel we would love to have you<3
Make sure you guys leave us blog and video suggestions! If you like DIYs like this one please let us know and we will make more of them. Please remember to share if you liked these<3 We appreciate all of the support we have. If you decide to recreate any of these projects please #vdaywithbrynnlynnbeauty on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to show off your work! We would love to see it! Use our links to the right to get in touch with us! If you want to use our pictures (not the idea but the actual pictures) please give credit. Thank you all for reading! Talk to you next time!!!! Would you want an OOTD post tomorrow?! <3

Cleanin' Out My Closet. Style Inspiration!

Hey ladies! I hope 2014 has started off well for all of you! I trust you are all keeping up with your new year's resolutions ;) One of mine this year is to go through my clothes and decide what I like and don't like. I know this will help me "manage" the clutter that is my closet. The only problem? I am addicted to shopping. I love finding new styles and making new outfits. Thankfully, I have learned a few thing over the years about getting the most for my money. I love thrifting and have done a few thrift hauls on our YouTube channel. Even though, I find thrifting budget friendly and fun I do love the feeling of getting brand new clothes that are currently on trend. The way I accomplish this... online shopping!! I don't always have to purchase items, but looking at different sites helps me determine the kind of clothing I would like to add to my wardrobe.  There are a bunch of sites out there including Daily Look, Hautlook, Romwe, and more. Then I thought hmm, why can't there be a website that has cute affordable clothes that I can actually purchase?! Now I love Rue21.com and other clothing stores that sell their products online but I just recently found one that I can only access online and not in store. I stumbled upon Persunmall.com on none other than the website Stumpleupon. I was drawn in by their adorable clothing and spent almost an hour on the website browsing. This lead me to having 10 items in my cart.  I emailed Jessica the links and she found some stuff she loved as well.  As I said, I am trying to downsize and can't afford to buy ALL of the things in my cart. This is where you come in! I need your help! I need your opinions on the clothes! I have chose some items that Jessica and I both love and would love for you to comment what your two favorites are! This may also inspire you to incoorperate styles like these into your wardobe.

I'm a huge sucker for anything with a cat on it. Totally Miley, I know but at least these ones aren't floating in outer-space. If you watched our  January Q&A on YouTube then you might know that Jessica has six cats. So naturally we both like the cat sweaters! These two we both like because, why wouldn't we? Which cat sweater do you like better? Collared Kitten or Bow-tie Kitten. Yes, I named them.
This adorable red sweater with zipper detailing would fit perfectly into my wardrobe. I can see myself wearing this with leggings and some cute black booties. This is my number one pick of the clothes in my cart! It also comes in beige and back. I like those too. Ahhh! Inner turmoil.

Jessica and I both love this gray oversized sweater with the detailed back. I am obsessed with this color pattern and have several tops with this pattern. I know, I know. I probably don't need another but come on, look how cute it is!!! I love slouchy sweaters especially during the Winter here in Michigan. The second top reminds me of one that I saw at American Eagle a few months back. I saw it on a mannequin and instantly said "Yep, I'm buying it!" before looking at the tag and saying "It's not that cute!" I could not afford $65 for one top, no way. This one is only $21.99! A top contender, this baby is staying in my cart.  Which one do you like better?

BEEEEEEEEE DOOOOO! You guys know I am IN LOVE with my minions. They have the cutest phone cases on their website. I am so mad that I have the 5C because they don't make cases for them anywhere really :( I wish I could get one of these but it wouldn't fit my phone! I thought I would share them with you because they are so adorable! If you guys know of anywhere I can get cute iPhone 5C cases, let me know please! <3

Two more sweater options! These ones are a little more out of my comfort zone. They are patterns I find interesting and would love to have in my closet. I have a tunic that has striped sleeves like the one on the left, but it doesn't fit me correctly. That is why when I saw this one I thought it might be something I should pick up! The red star sweater was one Jessica and I both liked. I love big sweaters of course but this one is unlike any other sweater I own. It is such a basic design but it is so cute! I can see myself wearing a colored flannel under this to make it a little more modern. Which is your favorite?
The last few things I know I don't necessarily need, but I really like them! The dress I found so adorable because I have nothing like it. These boxy dresses kind of hide your shape but for some reason I find them so interesting. I love the zippered "pocket" and the color blocked sleeves. Maybe the dress I wear to IMATS in April? Hmm, I don't know! That is why I need your help! They have so many cute dresses under $20 and I can't help but want them all! :( The jewelry and other accessories on Pursunmall.com are so affortable I couldn't help but pick some out. The necklace is $6 and the scarf is $19.99.
I'm so excited about finding this online store because RoseWholesale.com is one that I love but do not fit into their "one size fits all" items. If you ladies want to check out Persun Mall you can click here. They have tons of cute stuff and you can take a closer look at the items on mine and Jessica's wishlist list. Right now they are giving a free gift with every purchase and free worldwide shipping on orders of $65. We got $5 in credits just for liking them on Facebook! So make sure to do that so you can get some money off!! Please remember to leave some comments down below and let me know what ones you like the best!!! You can tweet us your pics if you decide to buy anything at @brynnlynnbeauty or which ones you like the best so we can see!

My Workout Routine and more!

Hey ladies! If you have been keeping up with our blog or YouTube channel then you probably know this year we are trying to get healthier and work out more! So I wanted to show you my personal workout routine and kind of how I construct it as it is ever changing. Yesterday, we posted a new video called "Get Ready With Me (My Gym Routine)"  and we thought there was no better way to show you my routine than to just share this video with you guys! I love working out and have done so my whole life but I do take breaks and have my months when I am super motivated and then have those all too common weeks when I feel like doing nothing. With it being a new year Jessica and I both want to really kick it into gear. The video is actually a condensed version of my regular routine because it was filmed on the weekend at a smaller gym. I usually go to Planet Fitness which is a bigger franchise gym. I pay $20 a month and that includes tanning (which I do not do)  and all other amenities including bringing a guest each time I go. I also pay an annual fee in June that is around $38. I have been a member for about a year and I have enjoyed this gym very much. There are some downsides which include it being packed every hour of the day, it closing early on the weekends, and there are A LOT of rules to follow. I get asked a lot if the "Lunk Alarm" goes off frequently and my answer to that is that it depends on the location. I go to two different ones within 15 miles of each other and things are completely different from one to the next.  I would recommend taking a tour of any gym before you decide on one. If you can't afford a gym membership or have kids that make getting to the gym difficult you can certainty work out at home. That is what Jessica is doing. She has a gym membership but hates to drive in the snow in Michigan. So, she has decided to do home workouts. She is going to do this with a yoga mat ($10-$15) weights, and exercise DVDs.

I suggest that you break up your days if possible. I do Cardio, Ab, Leg, and Arm days.

I just write out these workouts, change them, and add to them each week. I like to change it up so I don't get bored and so my muscles don't get used to the movements.

The lists are hard to see but I do incorporate some abs, legs, arms, and cardio into every days routine and just go heavier on that particular days muscle group.

Here is our new video Get Ready With Me! My Workout Routine!

The last time we posted we were looking forward to hitting 1,000 subscribers! We are now on 1,210 and growing! Thank you all so much <3 We will keep making videos for you guys and would love to take any suggestions you have! We have so many announcements and exciting things ahead that we can't wait to share with you in an upcoming video!
